Mission
Our mission is to provide screening, education and awareness for Prostate Cancer in underserved minorities and underinsured. This will be a grassroots operation providing mentoring newly diagnosed with seasoned survivors.
Goals
This Action Plan defines a set of goals for the general public, community leaders, advocacy and support organizations, health care community, and funding agencies to reduce the impact of prostate cancer on the state by promoting awareness, education, accessibility, and research.
Prostate Cancer Ribbons and Pins
In November 1999 CaP CURE designated a blue ribbon as the symbol of Prostate Cancer.
The blue ribbon expresses our commitment to beating mens most often diagnosed non-skin cancer in America. It is a fitting symbol, associated with "first place" ribbons and traditional preferences of "blue is for boys." Our hope is that this image will create awareness and generate support.
